Innovative Collaboration between KALISTA and Medan City Government in Providing Free, Environmentally-Friendly Transportation

The Free Electric Bus initiative by the Medan City Government has garnered positive reception from the community, as evidenced by the high number of passengers utilizing the service within the first week of operation. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to providing modern, safe, comfortable and environmentally-friendly transportation, with hopes of encouraging a shift from private vehicles to electric public transportation in Medan. The government aims to continually enhance public transportation services to better serve the community in the future.

Trial Information

The Medan City Transportation Agency recorded 5,917 passengers departing from the initial stop at the J-City Complex in Medan Johor District during the trial from January 5th to January 11th, 2024. The trial is slated to continue until June 2024.
